    STUDENT COMPLAINTS POLICY

It is our institution's goal to accommodate and work with all students regarding any complaints that might arise. Should a student have any complaints, the following steps should be taken in an attempt to resolve the matter:

Informal Discussion: Encourage students to first attempt to resolve the issue informally by discussing it directly with the instructor or staff member involved.

Formal Written Complaint: If the issue remains unresolved after the informal discussion, students should submit a formal written complaint to the school administration. This complaint should include details of the complaint, such as the date, time, individuals involved, and any supporting evidence.

Administrative Review: The school administration will conduct a thorough review of the complaint and may schedule a meeting with the student to gather more information and discuss potential resolutions.

Resolution Plan: Following the review, the school administration will develop a resolution plan outlining steps to address the complaint and resolve the issue in a timely manner.

Documentation and Follow-Up: Throughout the process, both the student and the school should maintain thorough documentation of all communication and actions taken regarding the complaint. This helps ensure transparency and accountability.

By following these procedural steps, students and the school can work together to address and resolve complaints internally, reducing the need for formal complaints to be filed with the state board of higher education. However, if a resolution cannot be reached, the student has the right to file a formal complaint with the state board of higher education.
